Edmonton Wedding Invitations

Wedding Invitations are my absolute FAVOURITE! There are so many gorgeous options available and they are the first thing your guests see that gives a hint of what they can expect from your wedding.

Wedding Invitations

When picking your invitations there are many things you need to consider for example, the colour, will there be folds, scripted font or strong bold fonts, photos, etc. The nice thing about working with Wedding Paper Divas is you have so many options to choose from that have been built to show you how they could look but allow you to customize them to your liking.

  • Traditionally wedding invites go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. I like to do it a lot sooner just so no one is caught on holidays on your special day.
  • Make your RSVP before date 2-3 weeks before the wedding. Again I like to do this a month prior to give me plenty of time to deal with table seating and such.
  • Wedding registry is considered a no no to put on your wedding invitations or save the date cards however brides now a days to add that onto the invite or leave a little card from where they are registered at.
  • Make sure your wording on the invitation shows who is invited. If you are planning on inviting the whole family then go ahead and write “The Smith Family” but if you are only inviting Mr & Mrs Smith than make those are the only two names on the invite. If you get an RSVP with the kids it is ok to call them and let them know that you are having an adult only wedding.

Wedding Invitations with Pocket Folds

Another option that I really like is their DIY Pocket Fold Enclosures and Layered Cards. This allows you to take their designs even further and add some fun layering, texturing and pockets for your invites.

Pockets are a great way to keep everything that goes into the invite (the invite itself, the RSVP card with envelope, any cards for registry and anything else you would like to add in one neat organized place.

Their layering options are pretty cool too since they allow you to pick any colour or metallic layered cards which I like!

PS the only reason they are considered DIY is because they will print everything and prep everything you just have to put the cards into the pockets when you get them at your place. Super easy.

Have fun shopping for invites!! jen xox
