I’m not sure about you but I am a big fan of a little bling in a wedding… or a lot of bling…
There are a lot of fun ways to bring some glitz and glam to your wedding decor so today I thought I would find some of my favourite sparkle ideas to show you.
Could this set up get any more pretty and girly?
This is over the top sparkle without being too over the top. The perfect shade of pink paired with the beautiful glittering lights. Picture this when the lights are dim and the candles are lit, the beautiful glow of of sparkle and the way it hits the table. This will be stunning!
A fun twist on the tall centrepiece that gives some serious glam to your wedding decor. The way the candlelight hits the crystals is gorgeous.http://opulentcreationsevents.squarespace.com/%5B/caption%5D
Not all sparkle comes in the form of crystals… The vase has a lot of sparkle on it. You can recreate this by either finding a similar vase or using paper, fabric or gluing glitter onto the vase (Hint: check out friday’s blog for the DIY). But the glitz doesn’t end there… Check out the sequins on the table cloth and the candle holders are using metallic fold that reflects the light just as if it were glitter.http://www.lovewedbliss.com[/caption%5D
Not all sparkle has to be over the top. Take a look at how pretty this chain of beads looks on the desserts. This could also be done on the napkins for each guest.http://www.poshpaperweddings.com[/caption%5D
Using sequin table cloths are a fabulous way to bring in the glitz all over the table! I have some gorgeous linens that I love to use that are black sheer overlays with sequins sewn into it. They are perfect because it is just a hint of sequins but allows any colour linen underneath to pop through.http://www.etsy.com[/caption%5D
Did think of this idea did you?
This could be a great DIY project for you depending on how many guests you are having at our wedding. Here’s how I would do it… be warned there will be glitter everywhere… Buy some cheap chargers, put a piece of card stock cut into a circle the size of the inner ring on the plate, use spray adhesive, remove the paper and pour on the glitter. Shake it off… Ta Da!!! Gorgeous chargers! This makes me want to do this with some of my chargers… upcoming tutorial??
I love quote cards! Seriously love them! This was a wedding my company did, you can see the sparkle on the candelabra in the background but also the detail of sparkling gems on the quote card. Like I always say – It’s all in the details!
DIY Wedding Confetti
Here is an easy one… you might think it’s hard but it’s really easy. Take a trip to your nearest craft store and buy sparkly scrapbooking paper, then buy a few hole punches. Get a glass of wine and a good movie and start punching holes. OR if you don’t want to spend forever punching holes you can also pick up a machine that will cut it for you.
Hope you have a Glittering Week!!
