Ever considered Boudoir Photography? Maybe as a gift for your sweet heart or something to hang in your master bedroom?
The key is to find an extremely talented photographer who is going to take some gorgeous images and really make you love what you see. Yes a great photographer can do that! I know what some of you ladies are thinking… because I am one of those ladies who think maybe that isn’t possible but believe me after looking at some of these images that the talented Crystal Lane Photography has taken you will want to get your boudoir photos taken asap!
A LITTLE Q&A
- Where do you do your boudoir photoshoots?
Photo sessions are done either in studio, trendy hotel suites or the outdoors depending on a client’s preference.
- Do you find a lot of your clients are nervous about doing the photos?
My job as a boudoir photographer is to help ease my client’s nerves prior to and during their session. Upon booking, clients are provided a questionnaire which helps me get to know them along with their expectations for the session They are also provided suggestions on what to bring to their shoot and I have them forward me any ideas they may have for poses. By preparing clients as much as possible before a session, the less nervous they are upon arrival. During a session, I walk a client through the posing process, in some cases i will do the pose first to help them get the idea. I also don’t hesitate to show them the images on camera during the session to get an idea of how they look. Typically, 15 minutes into a session clients are at ease, having a great time and all jitters are gone.
- How can I prepare for the photo session?
I strongly suggest that a client does not spray tan, sun tan or use a tanning bed prior to a session. Natural skin tone photographs far better than an un-natural tone. Also having professional hair and make-up helps enhance ones features and is recommended.
- Will you post the images on the internet?
Images are not posted unless a client provides authorization.
- What outfits should I bring?
Anything you feel sexy in! If you don’t feel good in what you’re wearing it will show up in the images. If the images are for a special someone and they have a favourite hobby or sports team for example, I suggest bringing a jersey, ball cap or something that is a representation of that person. This will add a personal and sentimental flair to the photos.
- Can my significant other join me?
YES and I encourage it!
- What is your top trend you are seeing with boudoir sessions?
I find that clients are opting for slouchy, knitted sweaters or t-shirts and boy shorts with their wardrobe selections lately. Casual yet sexy!
Have a lovely day!
