Wedding decorations always consist of the table cloths, centrepieces, chair covers, backdrops and so on, but have you thought about taking advantage of the ceiling? Hanging wedding decorations can make a huge impact on your wedding design and really leave your guests saying wow! It does take a little more work on your part, or your wedding planners part but it is so worth it! Today we are going to have a fun look at some of the ways you can include your ceiling in the wedding decorations!
HANGING PAPER LANTERNS
This is so pretty!!! I love white paper lanterns with lights in them hanging over the dance floor in bulk like this. With these colours it would be fun to have a few lanterns with a pink light in them too. These were found on the fabulous Colin Cowie Weddings website.
Depending on the flowers you pick these can be a really affordable and beautiful way to decorate! I like this as an entrance way instead of using fabric… Plus imagine the pictures! This pretty picture and a few more can be found Betrothal Flowers.
HEAD TABLE FLORALS!
Such a pretty way to bring even more focus to the head table! Anything that pulls together flowers and words of meaning are a hit in my book. This is a look that I am dying to recreate! It is absolutely stunning! Plus you could add a few more around the room for the candy bar, cocktails, photo booth and so on. This pretty image was found on Pinterest.
This gives the illusion of hanging from the ceiling however it is actually the centrepiece. A very tall one that has the crystals dripping down. Pretty romantic without having to climb a ladder to get to the ceiling. This very pretty picture was found on Venue Safari.
HANGING GLASS GLOBES!
These are so pretty and look absolutely amazing behind the head table! I like the mix of flowers and candles in them (battery candles not the real ones). They even added petals in a few which adds the colour but not the full flower cost! Another pretty find from Pinterest.
These may not hang from the ceiling but they are definitely hanging wedding decorations! They look really nice tied to a balloon, hanging on your backdrop or photo booth. There are so many options and they are DIY! This was found on Style Motivation along with 24 other DIY projects and I really love them all!
Another great DIY project that looks amazing! Just make sure to leave lots of time to puff these up because surprisingly they take a while to puff without ripping but really do look great! This photo was found on Bustled Blog.
HANGING MASON JARS!
This is an alternative to going with those glass globes and works really well with the rustic vintage theme. Plus you can get coloured mason jars like they did here and mix it up! This picture was found on Wedding Chicks.
My last share for hanging wedding decorations and it is picture perfect! Using lighting as part of your decorations is a beautiful way to bring in the romance and drama to your wedding decor. I found this picture on Pinterest.
Hope you have a really wonderful day!
