January Tablescape

January Tablescape decor perfect for your wedding decor or dinner party

Can you believe January is almost over?

This year part of my business resolution was to really work on my business and offer more ways to inspire you with events and weddings. I really want to make planning your event or wedding easier and stress free. I started this by creating the FREE Edmonton Wedding Venue Guide which is this amazing guide the helps you find your perfect venue in one place. PS if you haven’t downloaded it yet then stop right now and get it quick!

My second way to help support you is by creating Monthly Themed Tablescapes. This means the each month I am going to create table decor that you can create for your wedding, upcoming event or in your home. Some months are super easy to create, for example December obviously needs to be Christmas themed. January on the other hand had me stumped… What theme can you create for January? I wanted something that showcased resolutions and new beginnings but finding something like that was so hard! Until I stumbled across these geometric shapes and knew I had EXACTLY what I needed to create January’s look.

So the base of this decor was these wood cutting boards that I got from Olivewood Glory a small business based out of Calgary Alberta. He makes them from Olivewood and leaves an edge raw which paired with the beautiful grain is my favourite.

Then I seriously stumbled across these geometric shapes and fell in love with them. What makes these so great is they are perfect for the decor and then can be used for so many things afterwards. Gifts with an air plant, a faux candle, your home decor, or save them for a fairy garden this summer. They are pretty amazing.

I really wanted to keep it organic looking since we are going with that new beginnings new years resolution theme so I found a bag full of moss and twigs, added in a pop of pink with this trailing floral and of course those cool clear beads for fullness. Several items I own because being an event planner you create quite a collection of items that are perfect for creating a tablescape.

Since the whole purpose of this blog is to help you with your planning and inspire you then I created a little shopping list of the items I used to create this tablescape. You can check them out below.

Being the wine lover that I am as well make sure to add in your favourite bottle of red and white! Mine I ordered from Virtual Vino which if you haven’t heard is wine delivered to your door… It also happens to be a great gift!

Hope you enjoyed the January’s theme about new beginnings, I am looking forward to February’s already! Any guesses as to the theme? Might be an obvious one!

Now for the remaining month’s I’d love to hear the themes you would love to see!
