Oh my gosh another month another fiesta! We recently came back from a vacation to Puerta Vallarta in February so I was definitely inspired to create the March’s Tablescape theme Mexican Fiesta! The vibrant colours, the fun cocktails and the festive vibe makes me wish one of my events would be a Mexican Fiesta so I can recreate this on a grande scale!
This idea started with a handbag that I brought back from Mexico that I loved! It was a woven bag that was decorated with pom poms and a little Frida doll (FYI Frida is a Mexican Artist that is adored like Madonna for comparison). Now if I was thinking and had this inspiration while in Mexico I could have brought back so many things to create this tablescape BUT you never know when inspiration is going to hit. So thankfully I found Mesa Chic Parties and can I just say that I am OBSESSED!!!
Since I only brought back a handbag that would work for a tablescape I needed it all. Mesa Chic had everything and in exactly the right colour scheme I was looking for. I got this amazing pink table runner with matching napkins. I always find napkins such an essential for creating your tablescape. Instead of going with a real charger she had these tissue paper “chargers” that remind me so much of Mexico and they made such an impact on the table. And then to match the chargers were these hanging tissue paper banner flags which you would finding hanging between buildings to signify a restaurant was there. It just warmed my heart looking at her online boutique and it still does every time I visit.
